Chersonesia risa is quite common but like many species in this subfamily little research seems to have been done and so what we know about them is limited. Both sexes are similar in appearance and the species is multivoltine. Often settles upside down on the underside of leaves with wings spread, as in the photo above. Males are territorial on treetops.
