Fairly widespread across the northern part of the region. Both sexes are very similar in appearance. Strong and rapid flight. In the wild it is very difficult to tell it apart from its sister species Polyura athamas.

Habitat: dense and open montane forest up to 2000m a.s.l. Wingspan: 65-75mm
Flight time: most of the year but perhaps excluding the coldest months, depending on location
Larval Hosts: Senegalia caesia (Fabaceae), Tectona grandis (Lamiaceae), Ficus microcarpa (Moraceae)
Adult Food Sources: Nectar - not known to visit flowers. Other - mud puddling, animal dung, carrion, over-ripe fruit, plant sap
