Polyura delphis is an uncommon species although quite widespread. It is most often seen when puddling but doesn't usually congregate with other species. It has a strong and rapid flight. Probably multivoltine but there is little information available and more research on this species is needed.

Habitat: Polyura delphis is found in primary rainforest and deciduous montane forest, usually at lower elevations up to 800m a.s.l.
Flight time: likely much of the year excluding the coldest months Wingspan: 60-75mm
Life History: egg 4-5 days total larva stage 18-26 days pupa 12-17 days Total egg to adult 34-48 days

Larval Hosts: Archidendron jiringa, Senna tora, Wisteriopsis reticulata, Acacia sp. (Fabaceae)
Actual host plant used depends upon location and availabilty of plant species.
Adult Food Sources: Nectar - not known to visit flowers. Other - mud puddling, animal dung & urine, carrion
