Distributed across the whole of the region with the exception only of Taiwan and Singapore. There are 'wet' and 'dry' season forms but the sexes look similar to each other. It's flight is rather weak in typical 'sailer' fashion but can fly up quickly when disturbed. Usually found near streams.

Habitat: evergreen and deciduous forest, up to 1500m a.s.l. Wingspan: 45-60mm
Flight time: most of the year, depending on location
Larval Hosts: Ceiba pentandra, Sterculia villosa (Malvaceae), Boehmeria penduliflora (Urticaceae), Dalbergia benthamii (Fabaceae), Ficus sp. (Moraceae), Celtis sp., Trema tomentosum (Cannabaceae). Hosts used depends upon location and availability of plant species.
Adult Food Sources: Nectar - Lantana camara (Verbenaceae), Tridax procumbens (Asteraceae). Other - mud puddling, honeydew on citrus trees
