Neptis magadha is an uncommon species about which little is known. The sexes look alike although the female is slightly larger. It is assumed to be multivoltine with several broods per annum. Further study of this species is much needed.

Regional Distribution:  India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia

Habitat:  Neptis magadha is found in montane forest and has been recorded at elevations up to 1200m a.s.l.

Flight time:  most of the year, depending on location                         Wingspan:  45-55mm

Life History:   not known

Larval Hosts:  not known

Adult Food Sources:  Nectar - not known if it visits flowers. Other - mud puddling
