Photo taken at Doi Suthep-Pui National Park, Chiang Mai, Thailand. ♂ 460m a.s.l.
Distributed across a large part of the region and uncommon. The species is sexually dimorphic with some differences in appearance and the female being a little larger in size. Generally the male is darker and the white markings on the female are quite variable and fade quickly. Essentially a forest species that prefers shade. Multivoltine with several broods per annum but not much is known about this species and more research needs to be done.
